Game Day is here and it’s taking over K-Seven!
Seriously, this day looks a little different because all scheduled activities are put on hold to celebrate the spirit of competition! Unsure of what to wear? We’ve got some ideas!
The morning starts out with some classic Koffee Kake, but the Kuks and Komos partake in separate breakfasts! Both are complete with fun ways to encourage and enjoy what it means to be a man or woman after the heart of God!
By afternoon, the team pride is in full force! Each Kamper is decked out in their favorite teamwear or their respective tribe gear, Kiowas and Kickapoos are on the girls side and Choctaws and Cherokees for the guys. Since it is GAMEDAY after all, we've got a KSPN box set up in the church with sports highlights and hilarious announcers.
A truck full of pizza boxes arrives on the scene and our staff clad in jerseys begins to serve the Kampers in their seats, stadium vendor style. After some refueling, the Kampers are then ready for a competition circuit in which they duel against the opposite tribe. A sea of war-painted faces and team cheering cover the game field for hours. Games like basketball, capture the flag, volleyball and more foster the friendly competition.
After the roaring has died down, and the face paint has been wiped away, it's so fun to watch Kampers enjoy their teepeemates regardless of tribe or the outcome of the day’s events. We love competition and giving 110%, but even more than that, we love seeing kids pursue the cross together with the sweet bond of Jesus Christ at the center and an attitude of doing everything for the glory of God.
